hi

i have plusnet fiber, i recently got sent an upgraded plus hub one which i did not use as I have a fairly feature packed tp link router.

I donated it to my nephew who has a bt home hub 3, in a flat where there is a lot of 2.4ghz interference. so the 5ghz of plus hub one was more than welcome.

They are on BT and I used the plusnet router which the login and password changed

however, after 4 days the plus hub one reverted the login to plusnet settings and broke the internet connection. it wasn't a crash or reset because the wifi SSID were the same.

Do the routers call home and revert to plusnet settings like this?

Only thing i can think of is TR069 doing this but this only works if the Hub One is connected to Plusnet's network. If he is connected to BT then it shouldn't do this, then again Plusnet does run through BT's back end infrastructure.

When you say login and password changed? Do you mean the Broadband username and password?
And if it changed did it change back to yours? As in [email protected]?

Or
[email protected]
[email protected]

If it's one of the two above the router managed to reset it self. If its your username then TR069 did it.
