got my hub one on wed ready for my switch on tomoz

it is exactly the same as bt's home hub except from the front as u can see

ill post images of the UI when im up and running

the box it came in

So no engineer to upgrade people with old master sockets to the MK3 faceplate and NTE5A, I wonder what speed difference there is between a MK3 and the supplied Micro filter?

What a bland looking thing. And being made by Sagem would suggest it's not the same as a Home Hub - the 5Bs are made by Arcadyan.

Searching around seems to be the same as the HH5A model - which possibly means issues with G.INP enabled cabinets.

On the other hand, it should offer better wifi at least, I always found Plusnet routers to have basic wifi.

Yeah I just can't see why PlusNet would want to offer a product that has known issues with certain FTTC deployments. I assume they paid a lot less for these than a 5B spec unit would cost.

Funny that a company would give out a router that looks exactly like a re-branded version of what it's parent company gives out.

I think I prefer it in white though.

Its nothing more than a homehub in a white case and probably has plusnet branding in the interface instead

Google suggests it's a 3a unit with the BT fon stuff removed.

Why not? It's cheaper for Plusnet meaning they will make better profit doing it this way instead of sourcing their hardware else where. And it's much better than their alternatives they used to offer.

How is the WiFi signal on these? I found the Plusnet router to be pretty poor in that department!

seems ok for me full bars but i live in a one bedroom flat..not really gone ouside to see how far i can go coz 1...it always raining. 2 im on crutches :mad:

Plusnet user here, just use the openreach modem and your own router? Its certainly better than the old router but still not a patch on the asus routers imo.

I received this router today, do i still need the seperate Openreach modem? Will the engineer being one when he comes to switch me over to fiber?
