Anyone else on plusnet having speed issues this evening? Everything seems exceptionally slow. Youtube buffering, speedtest maxing at about 4Mbps. We are normally getting ~12Mbps.

Phoned plusnet only to be told the gateway i'm connected to is probably congested. They said all i can do is reboot the modem which should connect me to another gateway, which i have done. No improvement at all. Phoned again and they checked line stats which were also fine... The adviser said he'd need to contact their supplier (BT i assume?) to check if there was any exchange congestion, he said i should get a call back tomorrow to let me know what BT said.

Plusnet have publicly stated there is no congestion on their core network. You've probably seen the long thread on the forums dealing with throughput problems of one type or another.

Some of the recent posts seem to indicate there is a problem somewhere, but it seems to be unknown as to where. Some think it's BT's network before it reaches PN's network and others think it's a problem in some of PN's gateways.

No, still bad here.
But as I've said before, the problem here is over BT's part of the network before it reaches PN.

Is this not more likely to be connected with G.INP being enabled on your DSLAM and doesn't one of the DSLAM types, think its ECI only works on the downstream, the upstream envokes interleave transmission instead which causes some degradation in service I think.
