Plusnet Disconnection

We have been given the date of the 27th July by TalkTalk to switch to them, and due to plusnet saying they require 30 days notice we have just rang to cancel today and they cant do it util the 25th July, are they having a laugh! That 7 weeks to get a disconnection, it only took 5 weeks to get off tiscali FFS.

Anything that can be done? My dads ringing them beack to try to get a more reasonable date, but is there anything at all that can be done? They say they require 30 days notice in their T&Cs.

Just spoke to a customer support representative, looks like its going to be sorted.

Dont want to use a MAC to get across, as i do believe it means we will be on 2mb when we go across and we will have to rely on talktalk to upgrade us to 8mb, which i dont want to do.

You don't have to migrate to the same speed any more, and it would appear TalkTalk are not wanting to cough up to put you on IPStream either, so it's more likely than not you'd go straight onto (up to) 8Mbps...

Ah crap, ah well, disconnection confirmed to plusnet and connection to TalkTalk also confirmed now anyways.

Could do with a couple of weeks without the internet anyways, itll encourage me to get off my arse and find a part time job

Have Carphone guarenteed a switch on at 8mb speeds?
