Hi guys,
I am looking to get some internet down my mums shop and i was just wondering if plusnet are respectable? as there doing 10gb for £6.49 a month and that seems perfect but dont want a terrible customer service etc
Thanks guys

Ok well were with Vodafone :/
Do i need a 'business' broadband or can i just use 'home' broadband eg do they recognize its a business property....She is only going to be facebook, emails etc

Plusnet are in my experience very good with customer service. I've had a few problems relating to my phone line and they've sorted it out for me. As for speed I cant really say as I'm only able to get 3MB which I do achieve at all times.

ok thanks Xez....I think i will do that....Can anyone answer this: Do i need a 'business' broadband or can i just use 'home' broadband eg do they recognize its a business property....She is only going to be facebook, emails etc

I don't think it matters, all the difference between the two (mainly) are the contention ratio's and priority if a problem arises

Ok i have just spoke to the online chat people and i was told i have to get business because its at a business address :/...Well thats out of the window i think as its like 20+ for business...
Next option is getting a dongle....Whos considered the best? ie best coverage...gb for £
Thanks for your help

Might be a good opportunity to try a 3G dongle. Just for email and Facebook etc, 1Gbyte for £10 a month should plenty, would depend on signal coverage though.

Actually just seen an 02 deal which looks good £12.50 a month but i dont know if they care if its a business address?
Yeh malcom i think dongle is the way and ive found a 3 one for £12 with 5gb which aint bad

Vodafone and 3 generally have the best UK Coverage. With Vodafone if subscribing to mobile BB you have a cooling off period of 14 days, with 3, yeah you guessed it, 3 days. In personal experiences, 3 are horrible for customer services.

I've tried selling mobile BB in the past, not my cup o tea. Maybe a few others around here have a little more knowledge on the subject.

a buisness isp would care about SLA's and such and if you dont care about 5 9's then dont worry about it :) just get a home service

Never had any problems with Plusnet's customer services. I've been with them for years.

The only issues I've had have been on the BT side of things - which, given the lack of LLU at the time, I would have had whichever ISP I'd gone with.
