So I'm moving into my first house soon and need to decide on an ISP and phone provider. I've narrowed it down to 2 options:
- Plusnet extra. 60GB monthly usage (unlimited in the early hours). Estimated speed = 14mb. £11.49 a month. Then on top of this will need BT line rental at £13.49 with free weekend and evening calls. No BB contract. Total = £24.98
OR
- Sky unlimited broadband. Estimated speed 8-10mb. Includes line rental with free evening and weekend calls. 12 month contract. Total = £21.25 (although it's cheaper for first few months).
Both have similar setup fees. 60GB should be enough, especially with the unlimited overnight option. Call prices isn't a big issue as I'd rarely use this anyway. I wont be getting sky TV so this isn't something to think about possibly adding in the future.
I'm swaying slightly towards plusnet just because it will have a bt phone line which I just feel would be the best people to have a phone line with. I have no reason what-so-ever to back up why I feel this though. I just thought it'd make it simpler if it came to switching provider, and just because they've been doing it for a long time.
Any views on which one to go for?
