Plusnet?

Plusnets service and customer support has been spot on for me
never had my speeds throttled
yes there was the problem with them being hacked but they offered new accounts to anyone who asked to avoid the spam ,I'm happy with them and have no problems recommending them at all

Are you still with them?

I've never had any restrictions apart from one month i knowingly went over my limit.
Despite doing 120gb this month, if i WANTED to download a torrent at 7pm, i'd get full speed.

Very rarely 6-8pm goes down to about half speed on torrents only, never HTTP traffic

As i said before, perfect for bit torrent, 16 hours a day at full speed and unmetered

As we've all said, they HAD problems, and definately learnt from them all.


you must have had a dodgy line, i live in the middle of the sea, and my BF2 ping times are fantastic!!

incidentally, another good thing about plusnet is it's referral system - If you get enough of your friends to sign up, you can eventually not only get your broadband for free, they start paying you.

But you'd need a lot of friends, I think I have 1 referral and get 50p off per month.
 
I have been with plusnet and they have been great never had any problems.

I have even transfered in my website domain and also an email domain and their tech services are great.

they even contacted me and gave me money off because i had been with them for so long
 
Another vote here for PN. I've been with them since 2003 and i've had nothing but great support and fast turnarounds.

I live out in the sticks too and i get very accecptable speeds.

Its unlimited after 12:00, but on peak it is 10gb a month... the question is is this enough for online gaming? I mainly play Eve online..

I can set my downloads via scheduler after 12:00 so thats not a worry..

Please give thoughts :)

I have been with plus net for 4 years now and have just moved to the new gaming service, You have an option to up the amount of Peak DL you want I upped mine to 20 Gig and it worked out £1.50 a month cheeper than I was originally paying before.
Very happy with Plus Net.
Oh as for EvE yeh plenty even if you only had 2 GiG DL a month running three characters.:D
 
My uncle is with Plusnet and has only had one problem with emails being down for a day or so. Apart from that it has been fine. He is only a light user.
