plz help me choose a upgrade

Hi guys,


Im looking to upgrade my i5 760 and crappy mboard to a later model, about mid range. Im liking this Cpu so far im just a lil confused on what chipset mboard to get, Any help you guys can give will be greatly appreciated

I use my pc for gaming and videos only so a board built for that would be best. I also lean towards asus in previous updates. Any ideas? I guess I can afford anything upto 150, cant really go further, and I already own 8gb of corsair dominator memory which ill be keeping and using for the time being. I may jump in and get a ssd aswell but for now id like to concentrate on the board and cpu. Is that cpu a gd choice?

I like to get the best value for money so for me one of the 2 bundles , more than likely the gigabyte because it offers sli and xfire where the Asus Z97-K is just xfire.

If your going to get a board seperatley then the ranger or max gene remeber the gene is micro atx.

Have a look at the features on the boards and compare even the color of a board matters to some, if your going to overclock the nuts out of your cpu then the higher end boards are usually better.

I think ill go for that maximus, looks good enough to me, I like rog boards from asus... im not sure if they still do those? either way they would be to expensive for me at mo
Thank for your help, with regards to the sli and xfire they make no odds to me, ill never buy 2 gfx cards... sadly im not that rich.
