Hi everyone , i have made a new build PC today and it won't boot.

I have built multiple PCs in the past without issue but i am baffled as well as gutted.

When i turn on the power the mobo lights up with some colours so it is receiving some power anyway.
When i press the power button , you hear a "click" from inside but no fans spin , nothing. It makes no attempt to boot.
I checked the PSU using the jump with a paper clip trick and the PSU fan spins when i do that.

Cpu is
Core i9 13900k
mobo is
Asus TUF Gaming Z790-Plus WIFI (LGA 1700) DDR5 ATX Motherboard
Psu is
Kolink Continuum 1050W 80+ Platinum Modular Power Supply

Any help appreciated as i am truly gutted it hasn't worked.

Mobo takes the normal 24 pin leadsand 2 x 8 power leads which i have checked are all correctly seated.

Thanks for any help.

Are you running with the graphics card installed?

Checked the front panel (power on, reset, etc) is installed correctly, I assume?

How barebones is your build?

Originally i fired up with full system

4090 gfx card and Corsair vengance 32gb memory.
I have now stripped back to just mobo / cpu

Yeah i have checked and double checked the power / reset etc as that was one of my suspicions

Hey everyone , thanks for all the suggestions last night.
I took an older PSU and leads and i was able to identify it as a dodgy power lead.

I put everything back together an used a lead from the old psu and it has boote straight to BIOS this morning and is now installing windows as i type this !
Thanks again lads.
