PLZZZ PLZZ help me, I just been running my Farcry game for an hour, ran smooth, but, Since i upped my ram to 4-4-4-12, and ram voltage to 2.1, I'm getting a slight sortof burning smell coming from my pc, dont know where from though.
IS THIS NORMAL?
Plzz help, as I dont want to fry my pc.
It's only slight smell, but i couldnt smell it before.
The temperature reading is 18'C CPU, and 40'C System.
Thats using my MSI Dual Core Centre program. I really don't know what it is when I'm in-game, how would I find out, as I run full screen?
my specs are below

Keep it at 2.1v. And you can loosen the timings to 5-5-5-15 if you want to. But they're designed to run fine at 4-4-4-12 @800Mhz.

Ok thanks, I remember that. I haven't got the smell while playing today which is good :D
Also, If I ran a game at CRAZY resolution and max settings, and the game jerked and stuttered, would that have a negative effect on my pc, like damage ram or cpu or graphics card?

Thanks guys, does anyone know of a program that logs my temperature while I'm in a game? I have a Dual Core program with mobo, but It doesnt log anything as far as I know, and in-game is when a pc will get to it's hottest I'm guessing.
Also, What sort of temp is ok? and what is bad?
And What's important CPU or system temperature?
I appreciate this help

Speedfan has a logging section tab. But it runs in real time and to my knowledge there is no save feature. I don't know of any others to hand, as i only use Speedfan.

In regards to your CPU i wouldn't want the temp to go above, say 50-60 on load. Idle i would say 35-45.

The CPU is the most important temp to keep an eye on.

Ok thanks.
I take it that's celcius?
