Watching sky news now, it's prime minister's questions...

I've got one... Why do some people stand up for a few seconds after the person speaking has finished speaking?

but then how do they know who is speaking next, they all sit down quickly and you don't hear any suggestion from the speaker guy who is speaking next?

these are both theories I had, but I would like a definitive answer...

Never seen it before, some of it gets quite ratty

MPs submit there questions during the week. All the names are then shuffled and randomly drawn to decide who speaks and when.
As for standing up, that's to catch thw eye of the speaker, if they succed then they can ask a supplementary question.
PMQs is great!

Ah, i see, seems totally naff like, but quite interesting!

Just not enough time to hear from everyone. What is funny is the opposition get six questions whilst the 3rd party get two. But as soon as it goes to the leader of the 3rd, the Chamber empties.
