Pny 4090 - PCB compared to upper end 4090’s

I’m looking to purchase the Pny verto which is one of the cheaper 4090’s. The reviews show that performance is exactly the same at stock as every other 4090.

I never overclock my gpu and don’t intend to do that with the 4090.

The power phases are a lowly 14 and I’m worried about reliability due to a relatively low number even compared to the FE model.

Am I worrying about nothing and are they over engineered and this will serve me fine for many years in the future or will it be more susceptible to failure even though it won’t be subjected to over clocking

Advice please
Regards
Stewart

cheaper parts no doubt have a higher chance of failing, main thing is the warranty length, lots of the cheaper cards will have the shortest warranties

Wont be an issue at all for your intend use , buy and enjoy :)

Here is a list of some of the cards and their VRM count .

Thanks. I did eventually find another site/forum with stuff on (I won't mention it as I'm not sure if it's a competitor as it's in German).

I honestly didn't realise it was such a minefield buying a 4090. I thought they're all be pretty much the same. Turns out that's not the case an a lot of them seem a bit "meh" in theory (obviously you might get lucky like @LtMatt did) unless you get one of the higher end models.
