PNY 8800, Dead?

So today i was playing CSS on my girlfriends PC, using afterburner with user defined settings for the fan

Then all of a sudden the game froze and i couldn't Alt + Tab or control alt delete so i restarted and it booted up with blue artifacts all over the Dell splash screen then disappears after it boots into windows

Afterburner cant detect a graphics card nor can i load games, So i guess that its completely shot

Time to unscrew the fan from the card and cook it in the oven for 10mins at 200C, let it cool down slowly over ~1 hour with the oven door slightly open. I've done this 4 times to my PNY 8800GTS 512 in the last year.

Yeah i had thought about doing that but i dont think my Gf will approve of it >.<!

Another thing was it wouldn't boot for about 5 mins then beeped every 4 seconds

Do cooking times vary with fan assisted ovens

190c for 10 mins and it fixed my 8800 and my very old 8600GT

Wish I had done this to my old 8800 before I moved it on. I was suspicious why some one else was so eager to take a broken card.
