Hi gang,

What is the consensus on PNY cards?

I note that OCUK don't seem to sell them and was wondering if there was a reason for that?

Cheers

Tbh I've never had an issue with them. I've had a GTX280, a 780 and now a 980 from them. I've still got the 280 and it still works. The warranty is only 1 year I think but they've been reliable enough compared to others I've owned. That's only my experience mind.

I use them all the time. They are pretty well made but they tend to be a fair bit more expensive that other brands like Gigabyte or MSI. I believe the warranty is 3 years same as it is with Quadro so a case of sending to France after a year. I have never has a problem with these cards and they are very reliable.

My Pny 8800 GTS 512MB lived for ~7 years, requiring ~quarterly bakes in the oven at 200C for 10mins, for the last year of its life. ;)

I had a PNY 9800 GTX, the memories.... I'm not sure but i think they only do Workstation Cards now.

You can thank Nvidia or AMD for making your cards last, not PNY.

PNY - lies over warranty, screwed over a few of my mates with their lifetime of the card itself warranty.

Wouldn't touch them with your money, etc etc.

Yeah their 'lifetime' warranty Is actually lifetime of the product line iirc.
I had a 680 from them and it was fine.

Brought a 680 from them at release and as it was so early it game without any PNY stickers on or anything.

Dropped them an e-mail and about a week later got through all the stickers for GPU, some case stickers a PNY lanyard and a key ring. Along with an apology for receving an early batch of cards they didn't have time to put stickers on to.
