Poblems with RAM upgarde

hi,

i have an amilo li 1705 laptop and am trying to upgrade to 3gig ram. i have previously fitted 2gig samsung stick and working fine, however when i put the new 1 gig samsung stick into the second slot the system wont boot. ive tried upgrading the bios (just in case) but it has noty made any difference

is there a software update i can get or am i doing something wrong .... ?

try taking the old stick out and trying just the new stick, if it doesnt work youve been sent a dead stick, if it does then you can start looking at BIOSes etc
