Pocket Pc Media Streaming software

Hi, i am looking for a software that will allow me to use my Dell xim X51V to remotely play my movies and music on my laptop.

now i used to use media control but cannot find it for download anymore as all links are dead so is there an alternative?

VLC gets my vote, its small and plays almost anything I've tried.
