Just bought this for £195 on amazon from amazon themselves. Is this phone the best option to buy for a £200 budget?

Basically am just looking to see if av made a booboo as my mobile phone knowledge is limited to say the least.

It's a really good phone for the money.

If you order direct from Xiaomi with the code BOXING10 you can get it for 188.99 delivered with a 10,000mah power bank and Mi Smart Band 5 watch included.

But even at 195 for just the phone it's still great.

yeah i was looking at that phone but it was £260 for the 128gb on amazon so decided against it at the time, again i should've checked their own site. it's too late to cancel now but i could return it. thanx for your input guys it's much appreciated.

Just reorder and send it back to Amazon. I used a OnePlus 8 Pro for a month and returned it with no questions asked!

Been using one for a couple of weeks now, really liking it.
I've only charged it fully 2/3 times. Crazy battery life and really responsive when loading up the live view doorbell camera notifications.

yeah the battery is ridiculously good. really happy with this phone it's the first phone upgrade av done where i have actually said 'wow' at the performance. it's a big heavy bugger though.

my 1 year old killed my S7 over Xmas, the screen just bled purple pixels until it was all black

Saw this and ordered the phone after some reading up, for the price I can't complain. Not really used the camera, seems a little washed out so far but I need to play around with it.

only 2 issues I've found so far are:

Random adverts which I've managed to turn off
When reading the news section, youtube videos are autostarting and then stopping as I swipe down, then I get a notification to submit an error report for youtube failing... haven't figured that one out yet

charging was really fast, and I've charged it twice since it arrived on the 4th, and i've still got 83% left from charging it the night before last.

i watched a youtube video the day i got it where a guy walks you through disabling all the ads and recommendations on all the different apps.

My only criticism would be that the fingerprint sensor is a bit hit and miss, otherwise well worth the money

Pain to setup a fingerprint as it's only a partial reader and not as quick as my other phone with the circle on the back. Minor though.

Otherwise it has been a responsive phone with good battery life. Not much of a gamer but I will try running the Zwift cycling app with a DisplayLink adapter later today to see if it will display to an external monitor. If it works I could replace the current HP SFF desktop + 1050 Ti I'm currently using.

yeah it took a few minutes to set up with my thumb print, and it seemed that the first 3 or 4 attempts seemed to lag a little, maybe 3-5 seconds before unlocking but it's spot on every time since.

i've banged among us and a few other little games the kids like and it looks great so far, battery does well.
