Pod coffee machine for ~£100

we just bought a tassimo between 4 of us for the office..only 50 quid at argos

pods on offer at morrisons at the moment..says 2 for 6 quid but I got 4 for 9.20

is basically credited 3.89 for every 2 you bought..so we are gonna stock up between us at the weekend

the milk doesnt taste nice..but we only bought it for the actual coffee so we can easily just add a touch of fresh milk..we might even buy one of the little frother/heating jugs

the coffee itself comes out strong..and more importantly..piping hot

ideal for our little section
 
So I've had my Lattissima Plus for a few days now and thought I would share some media:

I haven't tried to make an Americano yet, which is as close as you're going to get to a mug of freeze dried instant or filter coffee using this machine.

I'm guessing you would need to do a Lungo shot (110ml) then top up with plain hot water.

Milk though.... it always pours that first and it's quite frothy even on the lowest setting.
 
You'll likely need to microwave it afterwards then. Espresso comes out at about 68c which is much cooler than from a kettle.

I can drink the espresso right away usually and I'm not a fan of really hot drinks. Am usually the last person to start drinking my tea in the room.

Steamed milk is cooler still.

I find I have to use boiling water from a kettle to pre-heat the glass for milk based drinks.

I think holding off from buying has paid off, managed to get the Lattissima Plus from Debenhams online for £162 with a 10% voucher.

It also has the free glasses and spoons with it from the previous offer and I should be able to claim the £70 gift card too. :D

It looks like they've removed it,

When I ordered (29/11) they had 4 machines like they have listed now but they had another row of the same machine for with 30 or 33% off at £180. I scoured the net for a 10% code too which put it down to £162.
