hi guys, having a debate with a colleague about length of podcasts and what people will listen to and how long they will listen to one.
Personally im about a 30-45 minute type of guy who listens whilst doing work etc. Whats everyones tastes.
I've only started listening to podcasts recently, and it was Serial (not gaming related). They varied in length from 30-60 minutes and to be honest I never paid too much attention to how long they were as I could easily pause one half way through and resume later.
The length doesn't really bother me, but a minimum of half an hour is required.
I listen to the GiantBomb cast and that can take me two days to listen to
As above, time isn't a concern to me. I listen (actually watch) various Tested.com podcasts which can be 25 mins to 2.5hrs. I just adjust what I'm doing to suit.
I listen to the Giantbomb podcasts (bombcast and beastcast) They're both usually 2-3 hours long. I spend a lot of time driving and just listen to podcasts while I'm on the road.
I think they are, I like their style. There's lots of waffle and nonsense sometimes but I've been a fan of the website for many years and I like that kinda thing
I think 60-90 minutes is about the average but dont get too worked up if its shorter, as long as you have good content.
I think 30 minutes is a bit short but I suppose a few of those a week might be ok, but this is coming from someone who regularly listens to 3 hour JRE podcasts
I find giant bomb can go on way too long and they spend too much time off topic for my liking, videogamer.com is my favourite and sits about 45 mins to an hour
