Just wondering have any of you lot used a Poe extender? They seem to claim you can get another 100m run from using one.

Too good to be true or the real deal?

If you have, what's your opinion and what one did you use?

I was intrigued with the fact that they don't need powered by a local source but by the original Poe power you want to extend.

Thought it would be a good way to power a Poe switch or camera nearly 200m away.

It's legit, just check the quoted wattage/distance figures to make sure you'll be alright.

I've used a product by Veracity for this, used 2 actually as the cable run was about 280m. They've worked flawlessly since going in.
