Looking for personal recommendations for brands / models, I'll be using a POE switch and running blue iris on a dedicated server.

I've put my first poe camera up last night, its a Unifi one, very pleased with it. Running the nvr software in docker.

there is a massive CCTV thread in the home & garden section. read the last 50 posts in there.

anyway dahua is apparently the best bang for buck. only £40 per camera from china.

Fitted the G3 AF in my back garden last night, and just fitted a G3 Flex in our daughters room tonight. Really liking them, video and audio quality is great and the software interface is really good. My wife is very happy with them too, using an Alexa skill called Monocle, can stream the camera to our Echo Show so we can keep an eye on a camera really easily. Plus the Android app is nice and easy to use.

Looking at getting either another G3 AF or a G3 Dome for the front of the house.

I am very happy all in all though, a really great product.
