Point & Click Adventures, Whats Good?

Its been a while since I last played a Point & Click adventure game, used to enjoy broken sword and monkey island.

I was wondering what good games there are in this genre now, I'd rather play something that isn't a horror game, seems to be a lot of those about for some reason.

Something either like a epic adventure ala broken sword, or a funny adventure ala monkey island would be good.

Does anyone play these? Thanks.
 
Theres 3 episodes of Hector on steam, its a british themed detective point and click adv game. Not great but not bad either some bits are a laugh.

Obviously get the greats like syberia, the longest journey, grim fandango, etc.

^ all excellent point and click adventures from the last few years.
 
My girlfriend really liked the Syberia series. Grim Fandango is held to be a classic although personally I didn't get on with it. You might want to try out the Darkfall series on GOG. They're not strictly speaking point and click adventures but it's similar gameplay.

edit: and before anyone mentions I forgot Grim Fandango I didn't I hated the gameplay & the story wasn't great no matter how you try to spin it I didn't like it *flame shields on full*

All I remember from MI4 was the address system for Prosthetic noses. I couldn't figure that out for the life of me, and then when I got the address I got lost in the swamp. :mad:
