Hi all
Been 'out of the loop' for a few years now, last PC i built was about 7 years ago now and Ive just got by by replacing broken parts really on a super low buget.

Ive been able to get away with playing most "modern" games on super low settings, but the low performance and frame rates really do take some of the immersion and fun factor out of the games,

I guess the reason I put off upgrading for so long was probably because Ive played games like CS 1.6 from the ages of 13-18, then onto WoW for a further 5 years and only recently moved onto the likes of BF3/ CS:GO.

Due to having a higher disposable income these days Id like to put £1000 into a new rig. Although I don't have the time to game as much a I used to Id still like to have the rig to play most next gen games at high settings. BF4/Arma3 Crysis etc

Here's What I am working with now, don't laugh

Intel Core 2 QUAD @ 2.4
4gb RAM
500GB HDD
Antec 500w PSU
Radeon EAH 5450

Here's a quick build I threw together.

YOUR BASKET
1 x "Dragon Army Z77" Intel Core i5 3570K @ 4.4GHz Quad Core Overclocked Bundle £389.99
1 x Standard Build Systems - Approximately 5-7 working days £0
1 x KFA2 GeForce GTX 760 EX OC 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card with FREE GPU Keyring £215.99
1 x Crucial RealSSD M4 256GB 2.5" SATA 6Gb/s Solid State Hard Drive (CT256M4SSD2) £164.99
1 x Microsoft Windows 8 64-Bit DVD - OEM (WN7-00403) £79.99
1 x Corsair Carbide 330R Silent Mid Tower Case - Black £74.95
Total : £940.01 (includes shipping : £11.75).

I don't need a display/keyboard/mouse or soundcard. Ive got a 500w Antec PSU and a 500GB HDD in my current PC which I am hoping will suffice for a few months with this build, However I wasn't 100% sure the PSU would cut it?

I am also indebate over the case,( has to be mid-tower) I originally going to go for a phantom 410 but the sleek/ minimalist look of most corsair etc cases has won me over. Don't mind having a window as long as it's not too tacky or spaceship looking

My knowledge in terms of graphics cards is really limited but I think Id go for a nvidia as Ive had better experience with the cards, my 8800gt lasted a lifetime and I am abit fed up of ATI CCC software

I also plan to go for benQ 120-144 a few months down the line, been gaming
@ 60hz for too long

I did originally planned to go for a full pre-built system from OCUK but id feel better in myself building the majority of it myself

I live just outside liverpool, so once my build is all good and ready I plan to pick the parts up from OCUK's shop and get some advice from the guys there, plus I was a good look at some potenial new monitors like the benq mentioned above

Just need some advice please guys,
I am new to the forum but have been lurking for the past few weeks ;)
