Pointing domain to host

Hi,

I'm having some problems pointing my domain registered with 123-Reg to my host 000webhost.com.

I have logged into my 123 control panel and am presented with the following likely options:

Web Forwarding
Manage DNS
Change Nameservers

I'm confused as to which options I need to configure? I want my domain to route to my host, keep my domain in the address bar and hopefully search engines will be able to find it OK.

Any ideas?

Your host should have given you two nameservers, or these should be mentioned somewhere on their website. Simply enter these nameservers into your domain's control panel and you're away!

OK I have changed the nameservers to ns01.000webhost.com & ns02.000webhost.com.

I can't believe thats all it takes to work, but I am new to all this so there you go :p

Thanks to all the helpers!

On a related note, I have two domains I'd like to point to the same host, one is the .co.uk domain I used when I set the site up and that works great, however I have now purchased the .com variant as that has recently become available.

Currently the .com domain is set to silently forward to the .co.uk domain in the 123-reg panel, would it work if I just use the nameservers given to me for the .co.uk domain?

Cheers. :)

It would if your hosts nameservers know what to do with requests for your .com domain. You need to find out from your host how you park the additional domain.

Does web forwarding do the same thing?

Because I webfoward my entire site, should I modify my DNS entries instead?

Cheers.
