Hello,

I managed to score an SP30 in June 2006...

Am I right in thinking that next year they will no longer affect my insurance? as it will renew in July...if memory serves its after 3 years they stop affecting insurance, after 4 years you can pay to have them taken off your paper counterpart and after 5 years they come off completely?

Or am I talking out of my arse as per normal standards?

Ta :)

According to the goverment website, the points stay on my license for 4 years. BUT I'm sure I read somewhere that it stops affecting insurance after 3?

Load of rubbish I'm afraid - its up to the insurer how long it affects you. Most ask for claims and convictions in the last 5 years.

Fair enough. Thanks! :)
