Points?

After I took my test, the examiner said if I got caught speeding twice within a year, they'll take my license away. I haven't been caught yet so all good. However, does this apply to other offences? I was at a red light and I thought it was green so I pulled off (the particular traffic light did have one of those small camera attached to it.

(Yes, am very stupid) What is the worse that could happen? If I get caught doing that again, does I have to say bye bye to my license?
