I used to play holdem years a go with friends and would like to join a site to play a few games a night.... Only want to buyins to be about £20-30

Seems to be so so many sites... Which do you recommend?... Ideally something with decent realistic graphics

:)

I played online for a while many years ago. To be honest, there doesn't seem to be a great deal of difference between most of the sites around these days.

One thing to keep in mind is that online games are a very different thing to playing face to face. Not only are the games a lot faster paced but also in terms of the strategy/tactics employed. I preferred 5 seat tournament tables where you just needed to be 1st or 2nd to make a profit

If it is for casual gaming the perhaps try party poker as they segregate their player pools, keeping new players away form the sharks initially.

Also for the main player pools, if you're just a recreational player then you can perhaps use a smaller buy in - there are people in poor countries for home multi table bringing on low stakes tables is a form of income and so relatively small stakes online can be at the same difficulty of 1/2 or 2/5 in a proper casino.

Haven't played Party Poker so can't compare nor do I play much but I've played a few games on Poker Stars both on pc and phone and don't have anything bad to say about it.

Party are banning HUDs very soon

they are the ones on the up at the moment, the tie up with DTD is doing a lot for them in UK market

I do understand your problem because i am playing a lot for few years already and Ш used lot of different online games, not all of them were really good, because some of them have problems with payment othere are cheating with you, so the possiblity to win is really low, and it's pity. One of my friends recommended me asiapokerindo, he told me that this really good website with games. I started to play where and I were surprised, they have good possibility to win more, and they don't have problems with payment

I never played poker or any other gambling game online. Use to do lucky 15s etc on dogs or horses many years ago. But that isn't really online gambling.
When playing poker online, do you actually play against Real persons or is it robotic? Do people actually make a living out of this.
