Calling all landscapers..

Just a quick one:

When i'm using a polariser in conjunction with a 6 stop ND, I assume I want the Polariser on first, so i'm polarising the light before it gets slowed down by the ND?

Cheers

That's the way I do it, on the few times I've used both. Assuming there's enough light to judge the effect of the CPL through the ND. Unless you figure out where you want it, take it off, put the 6-stop on, then reposition the CPL by memory.

Which is far too much hassle for me, and the reason I rarely use my CPL any more. That and the fact you get horrible banding on super-wides.

I screw on my CP, focus , get the effect I want , then add the ND's or Grads and try to calculate the exposure time

Cheers guys..

Its mainly to kill reflections and give the images some punch, but I still want long exposures..

I guess i'll have to figure out where the CPL needs to be, take it off, put 6stop on and then do the exposure...
