Police Application for Ipod

I maybe completely wrong but I highly doubt there will be an app that will allow you to listen to a police radio.

Maybe their encryption is far worse to our forces, who knows.

there are hundreds of websites offering free streams. US frequencies are not often encrypted.

Some nerds have scanners streaming police department frequencies. He won't hear anything from here.

Re: the actual app, the iTunes store has a free one called apoliceradio (US only of course) that has plenty of unencrypted streams. I have it and it works fine.

Oh yeah, that - just wait till nobody's looking and pinch someones ipod and run off - you'll be sure to hear the police as long as you make sure your victim gets a good look at you first.

It's free on Android too, just get Streamfurious or one of the other free streaming apps and you'll find it on the shoutcast/search listings.

It's very "meh" (the station) anyway.

I remember the first time I tuned into Air traffic control, pretty fun, but very poor reception, quite far from airport. This would be interesting if something major happened and you could listen.

theres rarely something major, and its easy enough to pull the tapes and listen to it when there is... sat listening to one air traffic stream is really really odd imo...
unless ofcourse its for educational purposes! otherwise.. sad.
