Two football matches have been postponed and questions raised over other sporting events after a third successive night of rioting in London.

Tuesday's games at Charlton and West Ham were called off on police advice.

BBC Sport understands that the Football Association will hold a routine meeting with police on Tuesday over England's friendly with the Netherlands.

Sad day, maybe the football fans should be given a pop at these thugs.

Hope its sorted for the weekend and start of the EPL.

The thing is, they are not real thugs.

Just a bunch of black wannabe gangstas, who are happy to throw things at Police when in large numbers, but get one of these animals on their own, and I bet they would urinate themselves.

I cannot actually believe this crap is still going on, and is affecting tens of thousands of law abiding citizens who want to go see their footy team play.

Its nonsense. Perhaps its my imagination, but the Police seemed to be utterly useless on the footage I saw. Just standing there taking all the crap being thrown at them with their riot sheilds. No one was being charged down, no one was being beaten with batons, and I couldnt see ANYone being arrested!

Surely Wembley is far enough away from this crap that nothing should be affected?

The entire London police force is dealing with the rioting, the fact that it's not actually happening on Wembley's door step is neither here nor there. Not that location matters anyway as there's copy cat rioting happening in Birmingham now as well.

I cant see how the England game can go ahead, even if the situation is contained by Wednesday (which in itself is doubtful if tonight's scenes are anything to go on) there's then the clean up to contend with.

you really should think before typing.

first of all they are "people" who are angry due to someone being killed by the police. how would you react if i killed your brother, father or son?

yes it certainly is your imagination.

there is a reason why nobody is being beaten with batons, it is not the polices job to beat people with batons, it is their job to calm the situation down, by beating people up with batons is only going to further antagonise an already angry crowd. would you try and steal an angry lionesses cub? it's called conflict management, they are their to restore order, not to make the crowd even more aggressive.

seriously you talk some crap, where you not the guy in La Cuisine who said be wary of creatine supplements they could kill you?

I wouldn't be out on the streets with my mates causing criminal damage and looting.

I'm wondering whether you're in touch with reality. It’s quite obvious that the people on the streets don’t give two hoots about whether the police shot someone justifiably or not. The vast majority of the yobs (black/white) are out on our streets because they can get away with causing mayhem and obtain something for nothing while the police stand by and watch.

Hopefully this evening the expected large numbers of police on our streets will start to put this dreadful series of events to an end.

Ah yes football. With the current state of affairs the police have more important things to do than to police a load of football fans. Their resources are required elsewhere and this week’s games are rightly cancelled.

Of course they're not, the riots in Croydon last night had nothing to do with a gangster who was carrying a gun and shot at police being killed, they're no marks who are angry at the world because they've been dealt a worse hand than some others and have taken the riots in Tottenham as their opportunity to vent their anger

Christ last night one chav around 14 said the reason they're rioting is to get their taxes back even though she was barely old enough for six form let alone actual work

and lol at all the fake injuries/illneses by England players so they can skip the friendly.

I know this is the football forum, so I apologize for taking this too off topic.

The riots aren't related to the shooting of that young man. There was a peaceful protest about that, since then it's snowballed in to rioting and looting.

I don't think you're the best person to be accusing other people of talking crap.
