Police problem!

I either read on here or one of my friends told me about someone who was going warp 9 and saw the blues flashing a distance behind, but knew they were coming for him. So he drove down a few random roads, parked the car, popped the boot and start polishing it. Apparently the police went right past without stopping.

Hehe. One of my old man's mates was queued up at some traffic lights, with nothing happening and a powerful motor under him he whips out the queue, down the wrong side of the road, second car from the front is the rozzers and he thinks.. **** might as well stick it out.. bombs it gets to a round about swings a left into a B&B he knows, parks up round back and stayed there the night.. got off scott free apparently..

Did this the other day in the FTO, pulled out and overtook 4-5 cars at warp speed then just as I was finishing I come head on with a big cop van *ooops*

Kept it floored but he didn't turn, was half expecting a knock on the door later but nothing so far!

I once passed a copper hidden in a disused petrol station, it was the middle of the night and deserted, I then watched him put the blues on and U-turn to follow. Heat of the moment and all that I just went for it, zig zaged in a nearby housing estate and then parked up with lights off...never saw him again. Not sure I'd do it now, I was 18 at the time and it seemed like a good idea, makes me cringe a bit when I think back :o

I drive an mpv and focus sized hatchback on a regular basis too.
There is nothing more frustrating than doing 40 in a 60 stuck behind a granny.

focus sized hatchback - wouldnt it of been quicker to just type the car? :p

theres nothing worse than someone stuck behind a granny who overtakes in a weak car with oncoming traffic ;]

aye, i see this a lot (as a passenger, and now as a driver)

to top it off they do 40 in a 60 zone, holding people up, then they do 40 in a 30 zone......... :o

Yeah, I always notice that - there seems to be a massive amount of people who just do 40 everywhere, regardless of what the actual limit is. It's really weird :/

Done that twice on a bike, luckily the police cars didn't turn around.

I remember 'playing' with a bike once at kind of silly speeds, stopped at some traffic light and see blue lights in my mirro, absolutely poo myself as he comes down the inside of traffic queue and pulls infront of me and stops.

He then does a U turn and turns back up the road he just came from. Talk about relief, I think i needed some new pants after that.

Me & my brother outrun the law one night.

There wasn't a hope in hell of them turning round and catching us up so we just bolted. Drove out into the country and sat in a layby for about an hour crapping ourselves.

Paranoia starts to kick in thinking about how to get home without using main roads. I was convinced the Police were going to be on my driveway when I got home.

Totally stupid really because we weren't actually doing anything wrong - just out driving early hours of the morning. :o

well not reallly, just chill out and put some choons on and dont risk you rlife, wit for a safe time to pass, seriously doing 40mph for 5 mins behind a granny rather than 60 mph infront you will cover an extra 1.67 miles in that time, so basically made a total of 90 seconds, your better off waiting 5 mins behind or however long to do a SAFE overtaking manouver than risking your life.
the problem is your mentality that you must go as fast as possible and will do dangerous manouver (or offensive as you call it) to achieve this. Continue this way you will have an accident. you should be calm when driving, you get held up no big deal make a phone call (of course on your hands free)and say you will be late.

I had an interesting moment on my way to Exeter the other month. Was driving along that nice new stretch of DC on the A30, the 10 or 15 miles heading westbound into Exeter. I ended up cruising at a speed of about 1.25 units, for about 7 or 8 minutes non-stop. There was nothing around, didn't pass any cars coming the other way, nor did I overtake anyone.

As I approached the lit up area (still NSL) before the M5 underpass section, I eased off, slowed to 70, and then 40 well in time for the limit, suddenly noticed some headlights move into my rear view mirror, so checked, and saw a fully marked up trafpol Volvo about a car length from my rear bumper. I Promptly filled my trousers, and drove like a total saint all the way through town. He followed me all the way to the residential street where I turned off to park up at my mates house.

I don't know whether he was going that way anyway, had just joined the DC and had no idea of the antics of the last 10 minutes, or had been parked up on a bridge, lights off, then come after me when I passed underneath.... In that case, maybe slowing to 70 for the lit up section, then 40 in good time for the 40 limit saved my bacon. I'll never know really!

But, it has to be said, I've not driven that quickly since......

Don't have many overtaking issues anymore, just put the GTO in 2nd, press the loud pedal, wait the little split second for the fun-ometer to rise to full and hey presto - I'm past!:D:D:D
