just got hit tonight by the new police trojen and its the latest to hit my pc got rid of 9 just 2 weeks ago. Can anyone help me sort my pc security out please need some recommendations pretty please?

I currently use Win7 64bit and im using windows firewall and MSE for anti virus.

Looking to stop getting hit by these dam trojens all the time.

It's very simple to get rid of mate.

Boot into safe mode and locate teh dodgy looking/sounding .exe in any of the following folders...

C:\
AppData
ProgramData
Temp

Commonly random numbers/letters.exe
Alos commonly the Icons are black squares with Skull and crossbones or a little Nest with eggs in it.

As for PC security, any half assed AV will do you tbh things like the metpolice infection probably wont be caught by them anyway.

EDIT:
If unsure an easy way to find them it to sort the folder by date modified ro even search for *.exe and sort by date
 
Just ran malwarebytes and its found another trojen how the hell they getting on to my pc and how do I stop them?

It may be one you had previously that was not removed properly. Disable system restore, boot into safe mode, update Malware bytes and then run it.

these things are often put in place by a root kit

download and run in safe mode combofix.exe from bleepingcomputers

if it will not run you have a really smart rootkit thats killing it.....
 
There is plenty of porn out there from legitamte sources.
Block popups, never click links on a pornsite.
Never click links to unbelievable things, kate middletons box or similar, it isnt going to be online unless you've read about it in the sun first.

Dont click links in emails.

Do you know where you are getting this stuff from? Have you any idea, not that I want to know, I want you to know. Do you know where you were when you got infected?
Never run an exe, be wary of anything flash, why do you even have java?
If a jpeg seems very large in size, avoid.
 
Ive been online gaming and downloading for maybe 10 years and this has never happened to me! I use firefox as my browser and norton security, Never any problems.
 
Download a browser such as Chrome or Firefox ( IE has several security issues)

Then you should install a anti virus and keep it up to date. It should help stop random EXEs running and Comodo has sandbox tools which can help isolate unknown files.

Only download legit files and if you are unsure, run them in a Sandboxie sandbox to see how it reacts.

And lastly, do regular scans:)

can not seem to turn off MSE which i need too to run combofix safely.

And NO I have not been looking at porn :P

Patching a browser once a month isn't enough. They don't manage Flash patching and control Java like Chrome does.

OP - Switch to a better browser. Chrome is ideal.
 
great since ive managed to get combofix working my windows firewall is now borked it wont switch on sorry guys but any help for that plsssssss?

Nope not been doing any torrents
