Does anybody happen to know what Nintendo's policy is on deal pixels on a DS Lite?
My wife has had her DS Lite White from launch day and I'm 100% sure the screen was absolutle fine.
Yesterday she asked me to look at her unit and there is definitely an annoying dead pixel on the bottom screen.
It is only one pixel but your eyes do seem to get drawn towards it.

Does anybody happen to know what the official policy is on DS Lites (web link as proof wold be great)?
If this is a warranty swap fault am I better off speaking to the place where I bought the unit from or speaking to Nintendo directly?
Does anybody happen to have a phone number for Nintendo UK warranty support - I cannot find the paperwork for this DS Lite at the moment?

Nintendo will haplily replace any ds with a dead pixel. I was able to take 2 of mine back to the store where it was purchased until I got one without any dead pixels at all!

I've just noticed that the hinges of my white DS lite are cracked... Does anyone know if Nintendo will offer a free replacement for this problem still?

Sorry to (slightly) derail the thread!

I took mine back to the shop where I bought it and they replaced it without any hassle. This was in November for a machine bought around August.

cracked hinges and dead pixels should be fine for a straight swop :D

both happened to me, first ds i got developed a cracked hinge so i took that back, then the next one i got had a dead pixel and i took that straight back. both were no hassle, they checked the problem and gave me a new one :D

I noticed my DS has a stuck pixel on the bottom screen, don't even think its worth replacing though. Got it from an internet retailer :)

I sent a printed email from the river confirming the purchase and price.
Good idea... Thanks. Once chrimbo is out the way, I'll have to get this sorted. :)

Hopefully I'll get the same DS back, as I've looked after the battery on mine. :)

Thanks for the replies.
I've made contact with the place where I bought it and they have e-mailed me a copy of the original invoice.
I'm going to give Nintendo a call between Christmas and New Year and get an RMA.
Cheers.
