I was just moving some equipment round in my home office and managed to catch my 28 Inch monitor with the corner of my laptop. It has left about a cm long scratch that is quite visible on lighter backgrounds, is there any way to polish this out or otherwise mask it?

You will want a very mild polish (e.g. something like Autoglym Super Resin Polish - used for cars), and a micro fibre cloth.
Toothpaste is another option, as that's a very mild abrasive

Maybe I'll give toothpaste a go as I have some of that, I did try it on an old tablet and it may have worked a little. The plastic display on the monitor does feel quite soft relatively speaking
