Hey all,
Whilst I very much feel the BF2 maps that were recently released for BF3 are missing Mashtuur City, I feel that these maps are still much better than the BF3 maps.
I feel some of the BF3 maps (I haven't learnt all the names yet) are complete stalemate where the middle of the map becomes an enormous grenade/rpg/sniper fest.

Are the maps from the Karkand expansion map better than the regular BF3 ones?
Yes - The BF2 remake maps are better
No - The BF3 ones are better
They are equally as good

Could a mod turn this into a Poll please :).

Why is the game worse than BF2?
It is different to BF2 and I don't have the same love for it, but then with BF2 I had just got broadband and it was the whole 'wow' factor (I did have 1942 but I was a retard and bought it thinking it would be like Allied Assault!). I even upgraded my ram to 2GB so I could enjoy 64 player maps without the PC crapping itself!

I tried BF2 again after playing BC2 and the short draw distance and terrible dated feel of it put me off :(.

Its a console port, plagued with bugs, cheats. No voip, no commo rose, the menus are poorly layed out, and it plays very poorly compared to bf2 or bfbc2. Ill still play it, but i just dont get as much enjoyment from it as the other two games ive mentioned. Pre btk it was fine, but typical dice, they go and screw things up with updates.

My only real gripes about BF3 are that the menu system is crap, the graphics (yes it is very good but the textures are not that high and the way buildings are destroyed doesn't meet the hype) and that I wanted 40 v 40 maps as BF2 achieved 32 v 32 in 2005.

These are all just small things though and whilst BF3 is really far from perfect I couldn't go back to an older BF game now as it would just feel old.

I like the new versions of the BF2 maps but they are very different now as buildings that were previously not enter-able now are. It should concern EA that people think their maps from 2005 beat their new ones!
