Why would you even think of going to a sandy bridge cpu when you already have an i7 cpuI'm keeping what I have until next Gen or Bulldozer
here's why:
You forgotYES
Previous setup: i7 920 4GHz, UD3R, 6GB Kingston
Everyone will of course call me mental, but I couldn't care lesshere's why:
-Board posted too slow, stopped me getting an SSD drive
-Lower temps (13c lower than my 920@4GHz compared to the [email protected])
-Lower power consumption (PC is left on a fair bit and I don't pay the bills)
-Outlay after selling wasn't bad at all and the price on the SB kit was good. Was an £80-£90 outlay.
-Gained an extra 2GB of ram (not one of the reasons for upgrading, but a nice side effect to the upgrade nonetheless)
You already know these reasons Easy, but I don't mind repeating myself![]()
