Whats 3D mark?

The general rule is that millions run the bench @ performance

Everyone should be playing from the same point. In order for the results to consistent

General rule if you want to compare against the database is use performance. If comparing yourself between your old or new card, it doesn't matter what settings so long as both are the same (I usually do default)

If you are trying to get points on hwbot for example, pointless running it at anything but performance as your score will be too low.

I always run 3D mark when I buy new hardware. Its nice to log into orb and see my old specs and the cards and compare the scores.

Last run was with 4870 and got around 8000 Ran it again with 6870 and got 17000. Interesting as in I paid less for the 6870 than I did the 4870 both purchased on release day.

I ran Vantage the other day for the first time in a couple of years because I have just bought a GTX 470.

I ran it at default settings this time but this thread has reminded me i used to always run it at performance.
