I got it today, a present for fixing somebody's laptop. I cancelled my preorder, don't hit me :D
I was one of the naysayers, but I have to be honest, iwnet works great (touch wood). I don't know how they've done it, but it works very well. I'm sat here eating my words.
My only gripe would be that free for all is only 8 players :( That was my favourite mode, I'm going to miss running around 64 player servers.
Domination mode is 12/18 players so I'll just play that instead.
To everyone that was worried, I say give it a go :D

in your opinion......

I could not give a flying **** about a lot of the fairly generic FPS that come out.

One game is not gunna destroy PC gaming.

Oh noes, Well tbh Activision have sparked a lot of attention with other developers and they may do the same thing as them.

So keep your god awful opinion to yourself and atleast care because this will hit your genre soon enough.

lol AWPC, with your purchase of the console version, despite saying you've "boycotted" the PC version, you've still put money in the hands of IW/Activision.

If anything, people "boycotting" the PC version, only to go and buy the console instead, are actually making things worse, as the PC version wont sell at all, and they may end up dropping PC support in the end as the console version sold so well :(

Multiplayer is borked for PC so wasn't going to buy it until it was cheap for the single player. I was cleaning my room and had a load of old games so traded them in against it so paid £17 which I consider reasonable.

I am, however, not upgrading my PC anymore and shall be moving to a PS3 when I move house and have a lounge (shared house at the moment!). Consoles are definitely taking over from PCs now and just looking around town for this game proved that. I normally order online and haven't been into a shop for a couple of years and was shocked that most places don't stock PC games anymore!

People just have to face the fact that PC gaming is now a niche market and as much as it saddens me I won't be spending hundreds in the near future to upgrade my PC.

What has REALLY annoyed me about PC gaming is the fact you now cant trade in modern games due to them being locked to your "online" account and yet the console players can freely trade theirs about. MW2 is a prime example of this as it is locked to your steam account so I won't be able to trade it in again.

PC gaming is far superior to console gaming but it's time to face facts and realise that it's now a minority genre and most people I know now have consoles so I don't even have anyone I can play MW2 against! PC gaming isn't dead yet but is a small shadow of its former self.

lol you picked up the console version so the pc version gets more support in the future? pc gamers fail at logic sometimes... purchasing cod mw2 for a console will only do harm to pc gaming,
Well I am happy to support their 360 releases (when I can get them for £25.99 new) as regardless of what anyone does PC gaming is being destroyed by pirates so even if the PC sold 1M copies do you really think Activison/IW will be bothered when they are going to sell 15M + on the consoles.

you was slagging it off so badly up till now?

Thanks for the

I still stand by my comments about IW and Acitvision's complete disregard for the PC community. I cancelled my pre-order because of this and because I thought the MP would be crap. I have heard that it actually is working ok so far, so I'm giving it a chance.

Ok? :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Huh, you say you havn't been to a shop to buy a PC game for 2 years, and you order everything online, then are surprised that shops don't sell as many PC games as they used to?

So, pretty much what the non-boycotters predicted then?! :) A massive percentage of those that signed the petition will still buy it.

I think everyone (unless stupid) realised that the petition was a load of crap, it meant nothing.

However the complete backlash from the PC community hasn't gone unnoticed and that is something.

I am more annoyed about FourZeroTwo's attitude towards PC gamers than anything else. And the fact that he talks crap.

Why should I continue to fund PC games development when the pirates are in the majority. I buy all my games (261 full price PC games last time I counted so thats like over £9K worth!!) but many others do not so to me if I can get the game cheap on the 360 then thats what I will do. The PC version is hardly any different gfx wise its shockingly average for the PC (but looks & runs very smoothly on 360 as that's where they decided to focus as the big money is on those platforms instead of the PC).

Developers need to give PC gamers a reason to buy their products not just release a shoddy port or undemanding but highly polished multiplatform game like this.

You can thank piracy & greedy PC gamers who will think nothing of spending thousands on hardware yet refuse to buy any games for the way PC gamers get treated nowadays!

Source ?
You've lied in the past about the sales of CoD4 MW trying to prove the PC version barely sold any copies compared to the console versions...
