Maybe when its in the bargain bin but no way will I buy it and support the slow death of PC gaming by greedy developers.

I wont be buying it on the PC out of principle, if they're offering a short but sweet single player then that justifies some prices, however gutting the dedicated servers, low ping, support for communities and mods does not justify any price.
This whole connections malarky with the connections for the majority of europe will mean it'll be LPB etc all over again, just like 10 years ago when we were on dialup.
Much as I'd like to play it, the principle stands and I'll stick with it, because if it sells well on PC, then other devs may take a similar standpoint, which is all the more worrying.
Thats not idiotic, Im just not willing to play what is effectively a 'premium' for a PC game, that has cut features, no matter how good the single player is, because it is the MULTIPLAYER THAT PROVIDES THE MAJORITY OF THE GAMES GAMEPLAY

I wont be buying it on PC, I may pick it up on the 360 in the future if I see it £15 or less so I can play with some friends. if I want to buy a 360 game I'll do just that.

I admit to visiting a supermarket for a copy on the 360 as they have good deals going but if i can't get it for less than £30 any time soon i won't, im annoyed as anyone at the pc situation as that was what i was hoping to play it on but i have to say i think i preferred cod4 on the 360 than when i tried it on the pc, too many large servers and hardcore ones about for my liking, but at least you had choice!

lol AWPC, with your purchase of the console version, despite saying you've "boycotted" the PC version, you've still put money in the hands of IW/Activision.

If anything, people "boycotting" the PC version, only to go and buy the console instead, are actually making things worse, as the PC version wont sell at all, and they may end up dropping PC support in the end as the console version sold so well :(

This, bring back survival of the fittest.

Thanks for the

I still stand by my comments about IW and Acitvision's complete disregard for the PC community. I cancelled my pre-order because of this and because I thought the MP would be crap. I have heard that it actually is working ok so far, so I'm giving it a chance.

Ok? :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

You just a BS'er m8, end of!
Oh and  x10

5. No dedicated servers? No chance. I'll pick it up cheap second hand for the xbox and play the single player perhaps. I'll wait for Bad Company 2 I think.

The no dedicated servers thing was enough but when i found out it was 6v6 only in most modes bar one and steam locked, was the final nail in it's coffin.
I refuse to buy any game i cannot sell on when i am bored with it so no I wont be getting l4d2 either unless that is i can get it as a special deal like £10-£15 or something.

No. I won't be buying it unless they introduce support for dedis somewhere down the line, or unless I can pick it up for 1/3 the price since £35 for an SP campaign is a rip-off.

5. No, Boycotted after IW's reaction and seemingly total disrespect towards PC Gamers.
Unless decide I want to play the SP game and I find a bargain copy, I can't see me buying it.

Not being able to change the FOV from 65 degrees (which on a widescreen monitor makes me feel ill after a short while) and carrying over the aim in the general direction hit detection mentality of consoles has ruined it for me. More so than the lack of dedicated servers.

Only the weak willed have caved in and bought this after signing the petition and cancelling their pre order, i can think of one prime example of a person.

Oh shove off, stop getting personal with the bloke. It's a flipping game, he cans spend his money how he wants. It's a 10/10 game, and 9v9 is enough for most people he probable just got scared off by people like you shouting about how it would be an unplayable mess, which it obviously won't be; just more limited then it has been in the past.

I just bought my copy for the PC... typical... STEAM is sooo slow at updating that i'll be lucky to get it installed tonight :(
What ever happened to .. insert disc, select location to install... play the darn game???

3. I went out to buy it once I heard upload game play meant latency was ok. I'm still far from happy but hey what can you do when it's a new modern warfare game

I'm just installing it now, wasn't too happy about the mess they have made of multiplayer however. If its crap then i will just continue playing cod 4.

Huh, you say you havn't been to a shop to buy a PC game for 2 years, and you order everything online, then are surprised that shops don't sell as many PC games as they used to?

Ahahaha of course! How could I miss it! Console owners don't buy their games online so that's why it's wall to wall console games these days. Good catch :)

Without full MP I'll wait until it's way cheaper and get it just for SP which looked pretty good from what I've seen.

After watching the price dropping on a certain unmentionable website it'll be about £5 this time next week. :D lol.
