Oh shove off, stop getting personal with the bloke. It's a flipping game, he cans spend his money how he wants. It's a 10/10 game, and 9v9 is enough for most people he probable just got scared off by people like you shouting about how it would be an unplayable mess, which it obviously won't be; just more limited then it has been in the past.

well less than 24 hrs ago he was laughing about it all and now he goes out and buys it! what do u expect ppl like me who are true to our words think?

If you wasnt going to buy the game then fine, but to laugh at people who bought it and had trouble connecting last night is just lame imo.

Why should I continue to fund PC games development when the pirates are in the majority. I buy all my games (261 full price PC games last time I counted so thats like over £9K worth!!) but many others do not so to me if I can get the game cheap on the 360 then thats what I will do. The PC version is hardly any different gfx wise its shockingly average for the PC (but looks & runs very smoothly on 360 as that's where they decided to focus as the big money is on those platforms instead of the PC).

Developers need to give PC gamers a reason to buy their products not just release a shoddy port or undemanding but highly polished multiplatform game like this.

You can thank piracy & greedy PC gamers who will think nothing of spending thousands on hardware yet refuse to buy any games for the way PC gamers get treated nowadays!

:p Either you've quoted the wrong post, or you've mis-read mine and totally missed the point :D

I wasn't on about piracy in the slightest. I was just pointing out that "boycotting" it on PC, then buying it on console, kind of defeats the point of what is trying to be achieved :p i.e. low sales of the game on any format forces Activision to re-think what direction their CEO wishes to pursue.

Trouble is, gaming is like an addiction, most peoples intentions of the boycott are all well and good, but when they see the game on the shelves, the temptation is too great, as Activision know too well that they have people wrapped around their little finger.

People need more will power!

5. No, boycotted it since the start and will not purchase on principle.

Unless they come out, say we are sorry, here have some dedicated servers and the game for £15 :)

6. No, cancelled pre-order.

Had it pre ordered since about April time, cancelled about 3weeks before release once I founf out about the servers (plus I'd much prefer to spend my time on L4D2)

Yawn.

I arrived at work this morning before 8am and there was over a hundred people gathered round the front door.

Think it was something to do with some game we were selling for £26, £22 with the staff discount.

I didn't see the fuss personally.

Source ?
You've lied in the past about the sales of CoD4 MW trying to prove the PC version barely sold any copies compared to the console versions...
Have not lied about anything go check out Activisions accounts you will see PC is less than 10% of total sales. Console sales are 80% +. Piracy on PC for COD4 was 60% +.

Surely even you can do the math .......

Mate do you really think that PC gamers boycotting something which will sell around 15M copies on the consoles makes any difference whatsoever  Even if the PC version sold nothing it would just mean no PC versions anymore which is the way its heading anyway as PC gamers are a tiny fraction of the console games buying market.

it has been proven before even in this forum that cod4 sold more on pc than on ps3. stop repeating something that is wrong over and over again. you really underestimate the size of the pc gaming community when a good game comes around. there are more than 100.000 people on xfire alone that play cod4 on pc everyday. all these people were anticipating the next Infinity Ward COD but they somehow managed to disappoint them by removing some very important features. btw, dont forget which game holds the record for the fastest selling game on a SINGLE platform: WoW:wrath of the lich king.

Big publishers and developers do prefer making console oriented games for different reasons than "just more sales" such as having complete control of their product and easily satisfied customers that can be milked regularly with not much effort.

11million subscribers all playing about £8.99 a month. And that is a true fact unlike that cod4 60% piracy 10% sales rubbish

Everytime i think of how much money that company makes a month from a game i still cant believe it. It was / is a great game tho, even though im free from the video drug that is WOW.

Cancelled pre-order and got it on the 360 so I can play with my mates. £20 from the Warehouse Club seems fair. Certainly better than the ridiculous RRP.

I'll carry on playing COD4 instead on the PC until the server issue is resolved.
