How long is your commute?

10mins by car to train station
50mins or so on the train
10mins cycle to work from the train station

So around 1hr 20mins

Currently: 20-30 mins. Walk->Bus->Tube

When we move: Around 1hr. Walk->Train->Tube

This is door to door and 1 way only.

So 100% dependent on public transport.

I've added a multiple choice poll - with transport questions at the bottom.

So choose the relevant time, and then the relevant transport question. Hope this is good enough Easyrider.

I used to live in a beautiful area 5 minutes walk from the sea and had a 1.5+ hr commute. I now live in a dreary city a 10 minute walk from work. Best decision I ever made. Time is the most valuable thing we have.

Around 30-40 minutes for me on a bus in rush hour traffic. Which isn't too bad as it is an 'express' but so doesn't stop as much as a normal one so even if I drove to work it would still take 25-30 minutes.

My wife and I work in the same town, so we go as a family. Drop eldest child off at school, drop youngest child of at nursery. drop wife off at work, then me. Takes 30-40m on a normal morning in our own car. She used to to have a 30 minute motorway commute before a change of job last year, we save a fortune on petrol now.

If it was just me it would take 15m.

0:45 - 1:30 depending on traffic, so ~1hr. My own car. To take the train I'd have to only ever eat toast - the beans would be too expensive.

1 hour 30 minutes usually, one way. (Birmingham > Derby).

20 Minutes cycle, 40 minutes train, 15 minute cycle, with some waiting in between for the train etc.
