Which one best describes you?..
When I say "old" it still applies to relatively new second hand parts.
I only created this thread because I saw a similar spec components to myself on the MM and it worried me. They were going for far less than originally paid, as you'd expect. This is why I build second hand machines for me, make a HTPC, make on for GF etc.
Also wanted to check if there was some ingenious use for parts that I hadn't thought of.
- I upgrade components frequently enough such that they still have a fair amount of their original value.
- I sell the components, but they are 'old tech' now so I often sell them for far less than I originally bought them for.
- I build second hand machines from old parts for personal use or family.
- I build second hand machines from old parts and sell them as complete PC's to students or something...
- I just leave old components lying around in boxes. Possibly to be used as spares if required.
