As the other BF3 thread is getting near epic proportions I thought it would be quite interesting to see who had pre-orders of BF3 and now having played the Alpha/Beta has subsequently decided to cancel (or not)

Maybe a don could make a poll?

1. Not cancelled, still looks to be an epic game.
2. Cancelled and will not buy ever - too many bugs/problems/lack of squad management/it's not BF2.
3. Cancelled pre-order but may buy after it is released when it's on offer.
4. Undecided.
5. Pre-ordered as a result of playing the Alpha/Beta

I haven't it will be a good game despite its bugs. I enjoy playing it, that's all that matters. I shall also be purchasing modern warfare 3 aswell.

1. Not cancelled (although I will buy on Steam instead of from Game if possible).

Its shaping up to be game of the year for sure based on my impressions from the beta. I didn't get chance to play Caspian so I am really looking forward to 'proper' Battlefield with vehicles in Conquest game mode and warfare of epic propotions :)

I haven't played the beta though, got enough with my job as a tester.

Never-pre ordered, so meh.

I've got too many good games coming out at once, so i'm having to prioritise.

Only just got GoW3, got Forza4 next week, and Batman and MW3 soon after...

So BF3 is on the back burner for now. Probably pick it up over winter for something to play when it's snowing all day again :D

My preorder is still incoming, liking the game so far and BUGS ...its beta.

agre with Hex, havent preordered but will on final day im sure. whilst i want this to be great i know it will never relive the bf2 days :( but il still play its just not my 'must have game'

now forza 4 - thats my must have game.

I've had 3 or 4 games of the beta and I wasn't that keen. It seems boring.

I'm eagerly awaiting MW3 as that's going to be faster paced.

Not cancelling the preorder though.

I have absolutely no idea why anyone would cancel based on either a) the map choice in the beta, or b) the bugs in the beta.

People are so retarded sometimes! :)

3. I'm not that fussed about playing it until after release now that I've been given the same terrible map both in the Alpha and in the 'Beta' and can't think of anything preordering would give me worth the extra £10 over retail I paid through Origin.

I think the problem is people wanted a reskinned bf2 and they got a new game then started crying about it.

This. As a 2000hr BF2 vet I was expecting it to be different.

Am very much looking forwards to it. Even more so having played the beta. The massive indoor gun battles are nothing short of epic. :D

At first I thought that it was a bit pants but now that I've played a bit more I'm beginning to like it more and more. I can forgive the bugs too as it's just an old Beta version.

Would rather have it on Steam though. I don't like Origin as it's buggy pile of crap and doesn't even integrate well with Battlelog so fail to see the point. Might cancel the pre-order if it comes to Steam before release date AND it doesn't then need to load Origin anyway.

But a re-skinned BF2 would not be good...

Things have moved on.

I think BF3 is definitely a giant step forward, and it will be, upon release with some proper vehicular combat, a lot better than BF2.
