EA lands deal for Titanfall 2, sequel won't be Microsoft exclusive

"Electronic Arts will be the publisher for the next Titanfall game from Respawn Entertainment, according to a GameSpot article and Polygon sources.

Our sources also tell us that the next Titanfall will not be a Microsoft exclusive. The original Titanfall was exclusive to Microsoft platforms: Xbox 360, Xbox One and Windows PC."

We knew this even before the current one was released.
Remember how this came about, MS stepped up and planted cash and networking their way, when Sony didn't, its kind of how the exclusive came about.

I doubt MS are even that interested in having TF2 as an exclusive, they wanted a console exclusive or system seller early on, they got that, by the time TF2 is even being talked about coming out, PS4 and XO will have big more well known exclusives on the market.

Many argued (and still do) that it would not happen, MS would whip out the check book for whatever cost.

And the likes of Halo, as will PS4 have big exclusives, it wont matter as much by then for either system.

EA wont want that, Respawn will have their money support sorted by then.
MS wont need it like they need it now, their own big AA titles will be in full swing by the time TF2 is even in the works.

Hype aside it's not that good of a game, if it was a classic I suspect that they would have done.

Lots of people enjoy every game, my point is it would have to be something special for Microsoft to seek exclusivity for Titanfall 2. When they signed exclusivity for Titanfall 1 all they really had to go on was a concept which sounded great but it was a risk nevertheless (one which Sony didn't make).

Yea, the review is pretty much spot on, but im still playing it and enjoying it massively, I just haven't gone ona mad 2 week non stop bender on it.

He still give it 7/10, so not sure what he thinks, so still a pretty decent score though he spends 20mins trying to **** it off and the fact he says he paid the full RRP for the game lol.

If it was overrated, it would be dying a death right now, but it aint, people are playing it and enjoying it for what it is.

Lack of games stop things like that dying a death quickly. Lots of the stuff he goes on about with regards to MP issues, party, dropping players etc happened a lot with Graw1 when it was released but we all put up with it because there wasn't anything new to play that wasn't also full of issues in match making or party.
