All, any ideas what could be wrong. I ham noticing more and more performance issues with google chrome, though it remains the browser of choice within our business.

Requesting a URL seems to take 5 – 10 seconds before the page starts to download. Coincidentally the same request in internet explorer or Firefox is near instant in comparison.
The issue appears to be with chrome only, I have cleared out everything within the app, removed, reinstalled.
I have also switched off the ‘predict network actions to improve page load performance’ option within the advanced settings.
In addition, I have cleared Chromes Host cache (chrome://net-internals/#dns) and disabled the Built-in Asynchronous DNS (from chrome://flags)

Oddly, it still runs like a dog. All signs point to DNS issues, though requesting chrome:// addresses (like the two listed above and chrome://downloads) take an age to come up to.

This seems to be effecting multiple users, Am running out of ideas. Anyone?

I see that Chrome are also aparty to stupid false positive policies (like M$'s gpo enable this option to disable that)

I have now enabled the option to disable DirectWrite. I was a little skeptical, but performance has vastly improved.

You sir, deserve a beer!

haha no worries. I was messing around for two days thinking it was an extension or something before I found someone on r/chrome having the same issue. :)
