Hi All
I have just recieved my new clevo laptop today.
T9400
4 gig ram
320 hdd
9800m gtx

I am very pleased with it so far. I only have two issue which I hope someone could help me with.
Firstly I dont seem to be getting the correct graphics performance. I get 5200 marks in 3dmark06
and 1900 marks in Vantage. these are run at the programs default res and with everything in the drivers
set on performance.
Secondly the fan seems a little too loud. Even on silent and power saving it is still pretty loud. Is there
a setting im missing?

I would appreciate any help.

regards
Gwyn

what should you be getting? Take into account mobile version arent in the same league as the desktop equivalent, how are games performing, benchmarks dont really mean that much as these are old test.

try running games
i don't bother with 3Dmark and it is a laptop so it will be low in 3dmark anyway compared to a desktop PC
my laptop plays GTR evo and motoGP08 just fine and it has the 7600 nvidia graphics/2gig ram/1.8gig x2 amd cpu

Hi there
Im playing farcry 2 which I need to turn the settings right down.
I see people with the same system getting over 9,000 in 3dmark06

Just downloaded 3d mark so i can give you something to compare with m8

Its a Medion Akoya P16612

T7350
4 gig Ram
320 HDD
9600m GS

with a score of 4802

Hope that helps a bit

Hi,

Double check any power saving/performance profiles and make sure its set to performance and not battery etc... My dell is set to balanced by default which downclocks the cpu and gpu to conserve power. you should be getting almost double what your getting on 3dmark06.

Cheers,
Hugest

I have checked all performance setting and everything is set to performance.
I think I need to try changing the drivers.
Are the 9800m GT drivers the same as the 9800m gtx?

I just installed cod4 and it updated my dx drivers.
Just ran 3dmark06 and got 9780 marks.
Im really pleased with this.
Thanks for all your help
