Hi guys, just wondering if this is normal (I have arranged for my phone to be picked up by apple already but just checking)

At work on my old phone (Note 2) I always had fantastic signal, always display H and fast internet.

Now with my iPhone 5, I have poor signal and super slow internet, with the o displaying (Not even 3g) I assume that 'o' is 2g? Infact thinking about it, I hardly ever see 3g.

And also wifi speeds, no matter what wifi I am connected to internet is slow / apps loading slow.

I have tried a wipe and restore, with and without restoring a backup.

Is this normal?

Yes the O is GPRS which is 2G i believe. Incredibly slow either way.
Thats definitely not normal. If your WiFi speeds were fine and your network was suckish then I could understand but it just seems like your iPhone 5 has a defect.
My iPhone 5 has amazing signal and good WiFi speeds but the WiFi drop outs are insanely frustrating. Also, my battery life as well as others (hundreds of thousands if not millions) is absolutely horrendous.
To be very honest, I actually regret getting the phone. If you got the iPhone 5 recently (you never told us when you got it) then id suggest returning it and waiting for the WWDC or just getting the S4.

Sounds like an issue with your iPhone, so replacement would be the best option.

However, not sure what network you're with but it might be worth looking to see if they do something like Sure Signal, which 3 does.

It uses your broadband line I believe and boosts your signal in the house.
