My Logitech MX revolution has passed away, I am not sure if I want a cordless mouse or not to be honest.

Anyone have have good recommendations for a replacement?

Oh I have big hands so nothing to small or lightweight!

Prepare for the endless stream of mx518 posts...

You going to be using it for gaming? If so FPS, MMO?

Any reason for wanting cordless? as if you are sitting at a desk all the time, you wouldn't really notice it.

Also are you looking for cheap/cheerfull or some top of the range model?

Have you tried to RMA the Revolution? Logitech have very good customer service and may be able to offer you a replacement or a discount on your next mouse.

This is assuming that the mouse is within warranty ofcourse.

I will try to RMA it but in the meantime I may as well get another while I wait.

I play a bit of everything really, WoW, FPS, strategy plus the usual browsing and office.

If you are waiting then I wouldn't spend much, get the MX518, try it for a while, when you get the MX Rev back either sell one or maybe keep both.

Logitech are crazy good with their RMAs, I got a G500 sent when my G5 broke, and I have three MX3200 sets now somehow!

I have never tried an MX518, but everyone seems to reccomend them, I love my G500, makes all other mice I have to use seem plasticy, fragile and unprecise!

The MX518 is awesome and Logitechs customer service is even better. However I am on my third one now as the last two have developed a fault in the USB cable which is apparently quite common. Having said that Logitech are sending me a new one and all I had to do was email them. They are really good at looking after customers. They have sent me mouse feet in the past a couple of times as well.

What's the G500 like for five pounds more??

ATM I don't think Logitech have good customer support...I am in process of doing this myself (w/G5) but after 4 days they eventually told me to refer to the reseller (d/w not ocuk) after filling out a form lmao. So now got to wait even more until a reply from the original store.

and I don't even know if they'll honour the warranty as they stopped selling Logitech mouses alltogether and went to Razer instead.

//PS sorry for butting in, saves me starting a new thread.

Might get flamed for suggesting a microsoft intellimouse 1.1 but I have had 2 over the last 8 years and cant fault them. VERY durable, I spilt coke (sip sip not sniff sniff) over my 1st to kill it and on my 2nd still. Yes they are basic compared to many but pretty flawless.

I also have big hands and find it sits quite easily in them. Nice weight, not too heavy but not too light.

Its corded though, I think they have a wireless version though.
