Poor quality captures from Utube.

Hi Peeps!

I have noticed that quite often when I download a uTube clip the quality is really poor and blocky It is strange that this is not the case for all clips.

Even if the original tube clip is good quality in full screen, when I capture the clip it is blocky. (As you get with bad compression) This does not seem to be about the compression however, as the quality is still poor in the native .flv format.

I have tried both the free YouTube Downloader applicaion "http://youtubedownload.altervista.org/" and Tunebite both do the same. I have also run this on multiple PCs to rule out codec issues.

Are you playing that on full screen?

I think the the res of the video cant do it. Make the screen a little smaller and it should be fine.

This is driving me crazy, Help!

I do not think this is a res issue as even if you view the downloaded .flv in a small window you still get that same poor video as in the screenshot above.

Here is another video that plays fine full screen via utube, which when captured it goes blocky even in .flv with no compression
