Hi there,
Hoping one of the mods can explain why the service was so poor on my recent order. I placed an order on Wednesday evening for a B-Grade 780G motherboard, a Hard Drive and a Router. I got the confirmation through and was fully expecting the order to come next working day as stated.
I was planning on using the Motherboard for a low power Linux firewall box and unfortunately you didn't have any suitable processors so I had to order an AM2 4850E from another supplier. Due to the short warranty on the motherboard (7 days), I paid significantly more for a next day delivery on the processor.
Today I received my processor, but nothing seemed to be coming through about the OCUK order. I eventually phoned your team who stated that no one could find the motherboard so it was going to cost an extra £37 to get a new one instead. Whilst I understand that these things happen, I have no idea why it takes a phone call from myself on day of delivery to get this information. I could then have canceled the order for the processor and saved myself extra delivery charges and time.
The end result is I have missed out on the time frame for the 6% discount offer from you and will now have to pay another £10 in delivery charges to get a motherboard from elsewhere as you don't have any reasonable priced 780G boards in stock. I also can't work on this project over the weekend which I had allocated to the project.
Overall a very poor show including: 1) breaking contract law by not supplying goods you have taken money for, 2) failure to deliver on an agreed date and 3) failure to even keep me informed as to what was happening. I seem to remember similar happening on my last order (old account), you guys seriously need to sort out your stock and warehouse management
